WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
The Social Club can be found in Green Square, Kingston (right next door to a pub called ‘The Durham’). The venue is spread across two floors of the 1950’s built, ‘Douros Building’.
WHAT HAPPENS ON A VENUE TOUR?
Private venue tours of The Social Club are pre-booked and provide you with the opportunity to view our various spaces and chat with an Event Manager about your potential booking. Venue tours are obligation-free and generally go for around twenty minutes.
DOES FURNITURE COME INCLUDED WITH HIRE?
Yes! Furniture comes included with all bookings and we offer our clients the luxury of being able to choose from a handpicked collection of pieces including designer lounges, handmade trestle tables, ghost chairs and stools, bar tables plus heaps more!
DOES PLATES, GLASSES AND CUTLERY COME WITH HIRE?
Yes! We have hundreds of plates, glasses and pieces of cutlery that can all be used during your time of hire. Our only requirement is that anything of ours that is used needs to be washed and packed away prior to your booking ending.
DOES AV COME INCLUDED WITH HIRE?
The first floor spaces come equipped with speakers throughout that can be connected to via Bluetooth. The Ground Floor also features speakers throughout that are connected to via an AUX cable, plus there’s also a microphone that comes included with hire of The Ground Floor.
IS THERE A LIFT ON SITE?
There is no lift on site at The Social Club. The first floor of our venue is accessible via stairs only.
CAN YOU SUPPLY CATERING AND DRINKS?
We take our food and drink pretty damn seriously at The Social Club and our in-house team of chefs and mixologists can help make food and drink magic for you!
CAN I BYO MY FOOD AND DRINKS?
You sure can. We welcome BYO bookings and have plenty of fridges on site for your drinks storage plus two kitchens with the space. Please note we have a series of requirements that must be met for BYO 18th birthday parties.
DO DECORATIONS COME INCLUDED WITH MY BOOKING?
No. We do not decorate the venue for you. Decor items like flowers, balloons etc need to be supplied by the hirer. If you require supplier recommendations, please let us know! We work with the best folk in town.
WHAT TIME DO YOU CLOSE?
We do not have a set closing time at The Social Club. If you are and your guests are enjoying your time in the space, we can extend your booking time until you’re ready to call it a night.
CAN I TENTATIVELY HOLD A DATE?
You sure can. We can tentatively hold a date for five business days while you make a decision.
